| Hello, and thank you
for dropping by Rafter LB Paint and Quarter Horses. Our goal is to
produce useable horses with size and conformation, good feet and bone,
gentle dispositions, and level-headed, willing-to-please attitudes. |

If you are new to our site, a bit of information about us might be in
order. We are located in fantastic northern
Idaho, truly one of the most beautiful places on Earth. We're at about
3200 feet of elevation, which gives us a nice mix of the seasons. Yes,
we get SNOW here!! But if you've never been in the mountains in the
winter, you truly cannot believe or imagine how beautiful it is to see
the snow on the pines, how awesome it is to HEAR the snow falling. Or
imagine the crisp, stark, sheer beauty of a starlit winter night. We can
sometimes enjoy the Northern Lights from here, and for someone like us
who was born and raised in the corn and soybean fields of the Midwest,
this is truly an incredible sight! The summers here are generally mild,
and while it gets warm during the day, there's nearly always a pleasant
breeze, it cools off wonderfully at night, and the humidity is
pleasantly low. We are truly blessed to be able to call this area our
home.
Kamiah is a wonderful little community
of about 1200 caring, friendly, happy people and a couple of old
grouches. It is located on scenic Highway 12 between Missoula, Montana
and Lewiston, Idaho along the Clearwater River, which sports some of the
best steelhead fishing in the Country. We are nestled right in the heart
of some wonderfully historic and scenic spectacles. |

a cup of coffee, browse through our site, and have a look around at our
horses. Feel free to contact us if you should have any questions,
comments, or observations or if you'd just like to say "Howdy!"
